Candeniz Başyurt graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Maritime Transport and Management Engineering and later earned a master’s degree in Marketing and Logistics Management from Galatasaray University.

After gaining diverse professional experiences, he entered the insurance sector at Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc., where he quickly excelled in various roles. He further enhanced his insurance expertise at IBS Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. After approximately three years, he transitioned to Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş. in 2019, where he now serves as Managing Partner.

Onur Cihan Satar began his career in the Finance Department at Pegasus Airlines after earning his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Bilkent University. Following three years of experience in the aviation industry, he held various positions in the Finance and Sales Departments at Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. He later continued his career as a Sales Manager at IBS Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. In 2019, after gaining substantial experience in the sector, he joined the new partnership structure of Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş., where he currently serves as Managing Partner.

After graduating from Istanbul University with a degree in Economics (English) in 1995, she began her career as a Customer Representative at Emek Hayat Sigorta A.Ş. She spent the first five years of her career in the insurance sector at Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. Over a 22-year period, she achieved significant success, ultimately serving as the Health Department Director. In 2022, she transitioned to Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş., where she now holds the position of Managing Partner of the Health Department. She continues to build on her achievements in the sector.

After graduating from Marmara University with a degree in Economics, she began her professional career at Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. in 1998. Over the course of 24 years, she advanced through various roles, ultimately serving as the Health Department Director. In 2022, she concluded this chapter of her career and transitioned to Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş., where she now continues her success as Managing Partner of the Health Department.

Proficient in English and French, Başak Ceviz Kural completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Istanbul University and began her professional career at Koç Allianz Insurance Company in 2001. She later joined Marsh Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik A.Ş., starting in the claims department, and after 10 years of experience, she left as Corporate Risks Director.

Başak continued her successful career at IBS Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. and Willis Towers Watson Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage, holding the positions of Corporate Risks Department Manager and General Manager of the Corporate Risks Department, respectively. As of the second quarter of 2023, she has taken on the role of Managing Director at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş.

After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, İrem Bayraktar began her professional career at Finansbank A.Ş. Etiler Branch in 1995. Following a decade of experience in banking at Alternatifbank and Demirbank, she served as Marketing Director in the corporate banking field. In 2006, İrem transitioned into the insurance sector, taking on a managerial role in the corporate clients department at Martin & Martin Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. In 2014, she furthered her career as a Group Manager in the Corporate Clients department at Marsh Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği. İrem joined Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş. in 2021, where she currently serves as Managing Director/Partner in the Corporate Clients department.

After graduating from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Political Science and International Relations, Özgür Şengül began his career at Marsh Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. in 2011. Following four years as an Account Manager, he transferred to Sompo Sigorta A.Ş. in 2015, where he held various roles over a span of nine years. Most recently, Özgür served as a Coordinator in the Corporate Solutions Underwriting and Corporate Sales units. As of March 2024, he has assumed the management of the Large Risks and Reinsurance Departments at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş. He is also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Yeditepe University.

Çiğdem Bağış, who has been active in the sector for about 17 years, began her career in the Corporate Companies and Brokers Sales Department after graduating from Marmara University with a degree in Insurance in 2007. In 2009, she attended various courses and training programs in London, including Underwriting training at Willis Re and Lockton Re. She then worked as an Underwriter in the Liability Insurance and Aviation Department at Ergo Insurance in 2010. Between 2014 and 2023, she held various roles in the Financial Risks Department at Chubb European Turkey, including Underwriter, Senior Underwriter, and Manager. Following her last position as Turkey Manager of the Financial Risks Department, she joined Polaris Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage in 2023 as Senior Vice President, heading the Financial Risks Department.
Throughout her career, Çiğdem completed the Advanced Level Liability Insurance program (TSRSB) and the BUMED Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Program. She is also currently pursuing an MBA (with thesis) at Beykent University.

Kübra Demirel began her career in 2009 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Marmara University’s Insurance Department. She initially worked as a Client Manager in the Corporate Risks department at Aon Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. and later held a position in the Placement Department at Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. for several years. Drawing on her experience, she became the Placement Department Manager at WTW Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. Since May 2023, she has been serving as the Head of Placement at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş.

Mirey graduated from Marmara University Actuarial Department and started her career at Marsh Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. in 2009 in the Placement department. She worked as a broker for 6 years. In 2015, she completed her master’s degree in Insurance Department at Marmara University and started to work as a Senior Broker responsible for business development at IRB Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. in the same year. Mirey Tetikoğlu, who worked at Sompo Sigorta A.Ş. Corporate Solutions Underwriting Department between 2018-2024, started to work at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerlik Hizmetleri A.Ş. as responsible for the Reinsurance Department as of July 2024.

In 2010, after beginning his professional career as a Customer Representative responsible for brokers in the corporate sales department of Aksigorta Company, Murat Keçeci held managerial positions in the Corporate Sales departments of Marsh Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. and Willis Towers Watson Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. for many years. As of April 2023, he has been working as Senior Vice President (SVP) at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Hizmetleri A.Ş. Murat holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Doğuş University and a Master’s degree in Marketing from Galatasaray University. He is married and has two children.

Yeşim Karaçam Turan graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemistry in 2008. She began her professional career in 2009 at Eczacıbaşı Pharmaceuticals Marketing Company, where she worked as a Sales Manager for one year. She then spent two years as a Sales Manager at Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals Company. In 2013, she joined Coface Sigorta A.Ş., a leader in the receivables insurance sector, as a Sales Manager, a role she held for ten years. Since April 2023, Yeşim has been serving as Senior Vice President (SVP) at Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Hizmetleri A.Ş.

Eyüp began his professional career at Marsh Turkey in early of 2011 as junior Claims Handler in Motor Claims Department following his graduations from Insurance Department at Trakya University in 2008 and Business Administration Department at Anadolu University in 2011 (Bachelor Degree). While later, he gained more experience by working at a retail insurance agency in Istanbul as a Claims Specialist for risks of P&C lines between 2012 – 2016. He kept going to improve his skills by having professional educations in the UK and also some web based training programs provided by Chartered Insurance Institute where he currently continues to his professional development. He joined Polaris Insurance Broker as Claims Director in October 2024 by following 7 years at Howden Turkey’s reinsurance department as Head of Claims in Property, Casualty and Financial Lines of risks.

Barış Özkaner holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Bahçeşehir University and has a strong background in human resources and corporate communications. He began his professional career in the Corporate Communications department at American Hospital, where he played an active role in developing communication strategies and corporate identity projects.

He then moved on to Turkuvaz Media Group, where he gained extensive experience in human resources management through various roles in their HR department.

Returning to American Hospital, Özkaner worked as a Performance and Compensation Management Specialist, significantly contributing to the development of performance evaluation systems, salary structuring, and employee motivation.

As the Manager of the People and Culture Management department at IBS Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş., he gained in-depth experience in leadership, organizational development, and strategic HR management. In June 2024, he joined Polaris Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. as the Human and Culture Management Director, aiming to advance the company’s HR vision by leveraging the knowledge and experience he has accumulated throughout his career.
